Why this site exists

Most English-language writing about Slovenia repeats the same short circuit: Ljubljana, Bled, Postojna, done. It is not wrong, but it treats a country as a checklist and it leaves visitors making the same three mistakes – too little time in the Soca valley, a hotel booked in the wrong town, a cave chosen without knowing the two are completely different experiences.

What is missing is the practical layer. How many days a place actually needs. What a day realistically costs. Which drive is worth the extra hour and which is not. That is what this site tries to be.

How the guides are written

Every guide starts from a trip, not from a search volume report. Where a number appears – a distance, a drive time, a price range – it is there because it changes a decision, and it is checked before it is published. Where something is a judgement rather than a fact, it is written as one.

Guides are dated and updated. Prices, opening hours and transport connections change, and a travel guide that is silently three years old is worse than no guide at all.

How this site makes money
