What this site collects, why, and how to get it removed.

What we collect
Nothing, if you just read. Browsing this site does not require you to give us any personal data.
If you email us we hold your address and message for as long as needed to deal with it.
If you subscribe to the newsletter we hold the email address you give and the fact that you consented. You can unsubscribe from any email, which deletes you from the list.
Technical data. Our hosting provider logs IP addresses and browser information as part of normal server operation and security. We do not use these logs to identify individuals.
Cookies and third parties
Cookies are covered separately in the cookie policy. In short: a consent cookie and a caching cookie are always used; Google Analytics is loaded on every page but only writes cookies if you accept them in the banner, which is a single accept-or-decline choice; and a booking partner may set its own cookie once you click through to their site.
When you click an affiliate link you leave this site, and the partner’s own privacy policy applies from that point. We never receive your payment details.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email the address above and we will respond within a month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle a request you can complain to the Slovenian Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec).
Retention
Email correspondence is kept while it is useful and then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for the period set by the hosting provider.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the update is noted here.
